Instructions for living a life. Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.
-Mary Oliver-
It all began in the summer of 2016, or maybe it was much earlier than that. Walking became a metaphor for life. It was about the leaving and the returning; the holding on and the letting go. It was about seeking the freedom to explore and as Mary Oliver said, paying attention, being astonished and then telling about it. What evolved came from a desire not just to travel and photograph, but to communicate a sense of awe and share it in ways that might encourage curiosity and exploration. My photographs illustrate what initially drew my attention and hopefully provide a unique, and sometimes universal perspective.
